Inner Peace – Inviting Ease

Midweek invigorating Kum Nye and Meditation retreat based on Tarthang Tulku’s book 'The Joy of Being', with Elske van de Hulst and Anja Nogaizig

Inner Peace-Inviting Ease is a midweek retreat with invigorating Kum Nye and Meditation based on Tarthang Tulku’s book ‘The Joy of Being’.

While we all say we long for peace and ease, most of us spend big parts of our days and lives on guard – preparing to face perceived inner and outer dangers. Do these preparations really bring us nearer to the inner peace we are looking for? What if our basic attitude could instead become one of trust, love and openness? Could our problems reveal hidden opportunities? Could our secret fears transform into treasure revealers?

In this four day retreat we will investigate ways to attain inner peace through Kum Nye Tibetan Relaxation exercises and guided meditations. There will be readings, exchange and contemplation but the main body of the retreat will be experiential practices. These practices will be based on excerpts from Joy of Being and Revelations of Mind by Tarthang Tulku. Diving deep into the architecture of our inner experience, we will discover ways to grow beyond the pressures and limitations that our regime of mind imposes.
