World Peace Stupa Centrum Winterswijk
Na bijna 20 jaar wordt de droom van een Nyingma retraitecentrum tussen de twee Nyingma City Centers in Amsterdam en Keulen werkelijkheid. Het komt nu met de unieke mogelijkheid om een World Peace Stupa te bouwen. Het plan voor een klein retraitecentrum in Winterswijk is zojuist afgerond toen Tarthang Tulku zijn World Peace Stupa Project aankondigde. Het is Tarthang Tulku’s wens om Wereld Vredes Stupa’s te bouwen op vier continenten – in Zuid-Amerika, Japan, het Midden-Oosten en Europa. De Wereld Vredes Stupa voor Europa is nu gepland in Winterswijk, perfect gelegen aan de Nederlands-Duitse grens.
Nieuwe Stichting
Samen hebben de Nyingma Centra in Duitsland en Nederland een nieuwe, onafhankelijke stichting opgericht onder de spirituele leiding van Tarthang Tulku: de World Peace Stupa Center Europe Foundation. Deze stichting zal het Stupa Centrum Winterswijk oprichten.
Aankoop van de locatie
Hooray, we did it! Thanks to many heartwarming contributions from both home and abroad — loans, donations, bonds, and a 50% mortgage — we have been able to purchase the location.
As of September 1st, we will move in, and on Saturday, October 18th, the official opening of the World Peace Stupa Center Europe will take place.
Soon, the next phase of crowdfunding will begin. We need €160,000 to purchase an additional 2 hectares of land, plus several more hundreds of thousands for the construction of the World Peace Stupa itself.
We are currently in discussions with the municipality of Winterswijk regarding the exact height and placement of the stupa.
