“The world will be balanced
when we are balanced”
World Peace Stupa Project
Offer for organizations
“When our senses, feelings and thoughts are attuned to each other, we realize that ideas and actions that make ourselves balanced and happy, also contribute to the harmony of the world around us.” Tarthang Tulku
The World Peace Stupa Winterswijk collaborates with organizations that share our mission of peace, health and sustainability. These can be affiliate organisations that wish to host their own retreat, or companies that run their own programs and whose employees participate in Restoring Balance retreat programs. Company teams are also welcome for seminars or team-building day visits. The harmonious and caring environment at the center promotes communication, relaxation and cooperation.
The Retreat Center consists of a Garden Wing for training and participant lodging, a Volunteer Wing, a Sacred Art Studio and the Main Meditation Room. A shuttle service to the Winterswijk (Netherlands) and Bocholt (German) train stations is provided for guests travelling with public transportation.

In the training of MindingWork I learned how to get energy from my work. For example, in business conversations I opened up more to the atmosphere, to the other person. I was no longer working so hard, I could relax more.
Restoring Balance Retreats
Location: Stupacenter at Winterswijk
Training: MindingWork
Instructors: Thieu Berkhout and Ineke Smits
Program: This MindingWork training is designed for restoring your balance, empowering you with tools that will support you your whole lifetime. The three retreats focus on the balance of giving and receiving, thinking and feeling and doing and being. The practical and experiential instructions are firmly rooted in Kum Nye and Skillful Means teachings of Tarthang Tulku. There is also ample time for private practice and enjoyment of the surroundings. Preferably you participate in all three retreats during the course of a year, but you can also just take one.
