You can help in many ways
Our center is fully operated by volunteers with lots of different tasks to be done, like cooking, caring for the guests, making repairs, gardening and cleaning. New volunteers are welcome to join one of our teams. Volunteers can stay overnight in our volunteer wing. We offer both short term and long term possibilities. There are also special project retreats you can registrate for.
Our volunteer work is grounded in caring.
When we care for ourselves, our fellow beings, and the world we live in, we can develop greater awareness.
New volunteers are welcome to apply for work as a general volunteer or participation in one of the following teams.
Cooking team
If you love cooking for groups (10-25 people) and a vegetarian healthy-planet-diet is exactly to your taste, our center could be the place for you. Usually dinners are cooked by two people and ingredients and recipes are all arranged beforehand, so the cooks can focus on the cooking with regular breaks during the work.
Garden team
If you like gardening, you are at the right place. We already have an extensive garden and great future plans for establishing a kitchen garden, a meditation garden and planting edges, trees, berry bushes, a pond and natural grasses on some extra land.
Maintenance team
There are alwasy bigger and smaller maintenance and building projects going on to improve and sustain the center. People with building skills or a great joy for practical work in general are very welcome to join the team.
Sacred Art team
Stupa’s, tsatsa’s and prayer flags are made in the sacred art studio. In the first period the sacred art studio itself needs to be set-up and practical skills will be most needed. Thereafter, the creation of sacred art can start, which is a beautiful practice of working in silence and cultivating inner peace. Join the sacred art team and help facilitating sacred art project retreats.
Publicity team
The be succesfull in our mission we must first reach our audience. So there is always work to do on the presentation of our website, social media, making new brochures and establishing new contacts. People with skills in these areas are most welcome to join.
Office team
Our office team is key to the operation of our center. They take care of incoming e-mails and questions, do all correspondence for the bookings and have overview over the daily planning of the center, the schedule for volunteers, new arrivals and much more. We welcome new volunteers with affinity for this type of work.
